Dude, there's nothing wrong with your technique; you seem really comfortable with the brushes already. The only was I think your work will improve is if you use more reference for figures, backgrounds etc. I usually line up at least one figure reference and two or three background refs before starting a painting. It does pay off.

Some people say this is cheating. These people obviously expect artists to have photographic memories.
